Subscription dues are just like a magazine subscription. It gives you
365 days of membership in the VFW.
If you are an annual member, and you pay your dues in January, your membership expiration will be in January of the following year.
If you pay after your expiration date, National will then process your subscription, and that date will be your new expiration date for the following year.
Since 1947, the Voice of Democracy has been the Veterans of Foreign Wars' (VFW's) premier scholarship program. Each year, nearly 80,000 high school students compete for more than $2 million in scholarships and incentives.
Conducted nationwide, this VFW-sponsored youth essay competition gives students an opportunity to write essays expressing their views on an annual patriotic theme. We invite you to join the more than 84,000 students who participated last year in this contest.
You can check out the scholarship website at: PATRIOTS PEN
The VFW appreciates your service, and so do patriotic businesses across the country. That's why we've teamed up to offer you - as a VFW member - and your family discounted pricing on valuable merchandise and services. It's just one more way we're able to say"thank you" for all you've done to protect our freedom!
Are you a Purple Heart (PH) Recipient? Are you a veteran of Operation Iraqi Freedom (OIF) or Operation Enduring Freedom (OEF)? You may be eligible to have your first year's VFW membership dues paid by the VFW Department of California.
You may contact the VFW Department of California at: VFW DEPT OF CA
