HALL RENTAL

Post 1622 has hosted various events, from memorials to birthday celebrations.  The hall is available to rent to post members, and non-members.

FEES AND RENTAL TIMES FOR NON-MEMBERS 
All fees are to be paid in cash, check, or money order, and must be paid in full 30-days prior to your event. *Lomita VFW Post 1622 Member Fees are substantially discounted.

 DESCRIPTION  FEE
Security Deposit: Paid in full at the time of the Rental Hall agreement to hold the date. The security deposit is refundable 5 business days after use of the hall, after the property is checked for damages. Renter is responsible for all damages. If Renter cancels for any reason 30 days or more prior to the event, renter will forfeit half of the deposit. If Renter cancels within 30 days of event, renter forfeits entire amount of deposit. $750 
Day Hall Rental Fee (8 AM to 4 PM). Rental is for up to 4 hours of use ONLY.  $150/hr
Memorial Hall Rental Fee (8 AM to 4 PM). Rental is for up to 4 hours of use ONLY.  $400
Evening Hall Rental Fee (4 PM to 11 PM). Rental is for 6 hours of use. Additional usage of hall is $125/hour per each additional hour or portion thereof.  $1700
Evening Birthday Hall Rental Fee (4 PM to 11 PM). Rental is for 6 hours of use. Additional usage of hall is $125/hour per each additional hour or portion thereof.  $1900
Bartender Fee: An additional $25/hour for each hour that exceeds 6 hours. If contracted for use of the bar, the bar will close 15 minutes before the end of the event.  All alcoholic beverages (beer, wine, etc.) MUST be sold by Post 1622. No alcoholic beverages are to be brought on the premises by any person in attendance. No beverages whatsoever can be taken out of the building.  This will cause the event to be shut down and all monies paid will be forfeit.  $100
Security Guard Fee: A guard is required for every 100 persons. Two guards will be required for events with over 100 persons at an additional fee of $35/hour.  $35/hr
Kitchen Fee: Kitchen may be used for staging and warming ONLY for entire reserved event. Renter must use own utensils. Renter must clean kitchen.  $75
Cleaning Fee: Renter is responsible for removal and cleanup of their decorations. Confetti, rice, or similar type is NOT allowed.  $200
 
HALL RENTAL RULES
  • No open-flame candles are allowed.
  • ALL alcoholic beverages shall be purchased at the Post and consumed within the authorized areas of the Post when a bar is provided for the event.
  • Any persons found entering or leaving unauthorized areas of the post with any kind of beverages, including non-alcoholic, will be removed from the premises.
  • Only persons 21 or older may consume alcohol. If persons under 21 are found consuming or in possession of alcohol, they will be removed from the premises.
  • There is no smoking inside the building, including electronic smoking. Smoking is permitted in the designated area outside the Rental Hall.
  • The building must be cleaned and vacated at the time indicated on the Rental Hall Agreement by the responsible rental party.
  • Security shall be provided by the Post and cannot be provided by the renter.
  • Bartenders shall be provided by the Post and cannot be provided by the renter.
  • Deposits are non-refundable if the event is cancelled.
  • Deposits shall be refunded, minus any expenses for potential damages or cleaning.
  • The renter shall be responsible for his/her guests.
  • The renter is permitted to bring in outside food and non-alcoholic beverages.
  • The renter is responsible to provide all food storage containers, food service items, plates, etc.
  • The hall is not responsible for any items left behind.
  • Any deviation from the rental agreement must be negotiated with the Rental Hall Manager prior to the event and a new agreement signed.
  • Refusal to comply with the rental rules will result in breach of contract and will require immediate departure from the premises without a refund.
  • Alcohol stops serving 15 minutes prior to end of event.
  • Event must end by 11pm.
